When you use a mobile data service, what you’re actually doing is connecting to the mobile provider’s network and requesting a data packet, whether that’s for an email, a video file or the latest social media update. The size of each of those files may vary considerably, but it’s not the case that what you’re charged in data terms is absolutely identical to the size of the files you’re downloading.
That’s because all mobile network providers use a system whereby there’s a minimum data packet size that’s counted, and it’s these increments that are included as whole or partial counts against your data usage.
Green Tree Frog counts each session in kilobytes. This means you get more usage out of your total data plan each month than if we counted in megabytes.
Exceeding your data allowance
If you do happen to exceed your monthly data allowance, Green Tree Frog will automatically add additional data in 1 GB blocks for $10 each (for the whole gigabyte).
There is no roll-over or refund to the next month for any unused data allowance. And for the first month your data allowance is prorated based on the days left in your billing cycle.
Green Tree Frog acceptable use policy
Plans with unlimited call or text allowances are subject to Green Tree Frog's mobile service acceptable use policy. You can read our acceptable use policy here.
Cancelling your plan
No lock-in means you can cancel your mobile service at any time after the initial 1 month period.
